Update on Zaruba’s
The Week of March 18, 2018
Mary’s funeral has been postponed until sometime in late April or early May (6–8 weeks). The reason why is because the family wants her husband, Mark, to be able to attend.
Mark Pinney remains in Tyler. His injuries are very serious, but he is making progress. They hope to move him to Houston as soon as possible.
The family requests no food or visits at this time. They are handling all of this very well, but, as you can imagine it is excruiatingly difficult. They request our prayers for Mark and the grandchildren.
KHOU did a news story on Mary. You can see it here.
The series of lessons with the theme "What God Wants From His Church" by Mark Roberts has been concluded and all the lessons are available for download or online listening. The topic was timely and needed, especially in our very diverse religious world.
You can download or listen to the lessons by clicking on "Media/Sermons" at the top of the page, and then clicking on "Gospel Meetings" in the drop down menu. Or, you can click here to choose from any of the lessons.
A new Bible Drill for 4th - 8th graders is in full swing. Join us for the next Bible Drill on April 15 after evening services!
The Luke 2:52 Crew (3rd grade and below) meets every Sunday afternoon, except for the fourth Sunday of the month, from 5:30-5:45 P.M.
The next Eastside Ladies Bible class will be on Thursday, March 22. It will be the last one before they take a break for a couple of months.
